The City of Beachwood’s new butterfly garden is a collaboration between the City of Beachwood, Beachwood Service Department, Beachwood Historical Society, Boy Scout Troop 620 and Cuyahoga Arts and Culture. The project resulted from a special grant, titled “Celebrate the Park,” issued by CAC. The garden contains milkweed plants to attract pollinators, which include butterflies, hummingbirds and bees. It’s located in Beachwood City Park at the bottom of the steps by the pavilion.
Mill Creek Conservancy was pleased to assist in an advisory role along with Biohabitats in the placement of the garden in the headwaters of Mill Creek.
